Types of Military Fiancée Visas
We run an accomplished immigration law practice that adeptly handles many types of immigration issues. As skilled military immigration lawyers, we assist non-citizen fiancées and spouses with applying for the following types of visas:
- K-1 visa: a fiancée visa that allows a U.S. citizen to bring their non-citizen fiancée to the U.S. to get married
- K-2 visa: visa allows a non-citizen fiancée of a U.S. citizen to bring unmarried children under 21 years of age into the U.S.
- K-3 visa: visa allows a U.S. citizen to bring his or her non-citizen spouse into the U.S.
- K-4 visa: visa allows a spouse of a U.S. citizen to bring unmarried children under 21 years of age into the U.S.
Our military immigration law firm can also help your spouse apply for a green card and obtain permanent residency. We provide complete citizenship and naturalization services.
Options When a Spouse Is Deployed
It is not unheard of that a spouse's deployment could happen when the USCIS interview is approaching. If your spouse is being deployed and the interview is coming up, you will need to contact USCIS to have the interview location changed, to reschedule the interview or to have arrangements made for your spouse to do his or her interview while they are stationed overseas. If you fail to keep USCIS updated about this, your spouse can be put into removal proceedings.
Also remember that you need to inform USCIS if your address changes. If you are in the military, your address can change often. If you do not inform USCIS of your new address, you can be put into removal proceedings for noncompliance.
